Shetang Quarry

This is the home of a chicken and goat farm on a lake in Shetang village. These caves have similar tool markings to the Longyou Grottoes, Just about 25km south-west of this location.

There is no information of the date of construction, but its proximity and similar process likely put it with the Longyou origin of 2000+ years old. These are characterized by what appears to be side entrances and large sediment deposits. However, the age and weathering could simply be obscuring a more direct physical architectural connection to the Longyou grottoes.
